OUR STORY

One product, since 1998: the drive

Invertek has made variable frequency drives and nothing else since 1998. The Optidrive line is engineered in Welshpool, Wales, and that focus shows up where it counts, in how quickly the drive commissions and how little it asks of the installer. Joining Sumitomo Heavy Industries in 2019 added global manufacturing scale without changing what the drives are built to do. We hold the range in US stock, from panel-mount IP20 units to sealed IP66 and NEMA 4X models that go straight into washdown and outdoor spots.

What enclosure ratings can I get?
Optidrive is available in IP20 for panel mounting and IP66/NEMA 4X for washdown and outdoor installs, depending on the model and frame size.
Do Optidrive units work with permanent magnet motors?
Yes. The Optidrive P2 supports permanent magnet and sensorless vector control alongside standard induction motors.
